Fresh goat cheese, honey, and summer truffle on toasted bread

Préparation

Prepare the Toasted Bread
Cut the slices of bread into triangles, then lightly toast them in a pan, oven, or toaster. They should be golden on the outside while remaining slightly soft on the inside.
Plate the Goat Cheese
Place the fresh goat cheese in the center of a deep plate or a nice serving dish. Add some crushed hazelnuts around it for crunch.
Add the Honey
Gently pour honey over the goat cheese, allowing it to flow naturally down the sides. Add a light drizzle of olive oil to balance the sweetness and add roundness.
Add the Summer Truffle
Using a truffle slicer, create thin slices of summer truffle. Generously arrange them on top of the goat cheese just before serving to preserve their aromatic finesse.
Finalize the Plate
Add a pinch of fleur de sel, a twist of freshly ground pepper, and then place the triangles of toasted bread behind the cheese for an elegant and gourmet presentation.

Astuce(s) du Chef Plantin

The summer truffle should not be heated directly. To preserve its delicate aroma, always add it at the last moment to a warm or cold dish. With fresh goat cheese and honey, it reveals sweet, slightly nutty notes, perfect for a summer recipe.
